This study aims to 1) to describe the characteristics of the implementation of oil palm rejuvenation in Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency. 2) Analyze the level of participation of smallholder oil palm farmers in implementing oil palm rejuvenation activities in Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency. 3) Analyze the factors that influence the participation of smallholder oil palm farmers in implementing rejuvenation activities in Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The results of the study found that the implementation of rejuvenation activities required farmers who were participants to carry out rejuvenation by falling simultaneously and all participants were required to participate in carrying out the stages of the activity seriously so that maximum results were obtained. This technique is carried out by uprooting all the old plants to be rejuvenated and then replaced with young plants. The results of the analysis show a trend in the level of farmer participation in the implementation of the oil palm rejuvenation program in Muaro Jambi Regency, which is included in the medium-high category with the percentage of decision making, implementation, evaluation and utilization of the results respectively having the following values of 66.50%; 72.00% ; 82.71% and 99.29%. 3) There is a significant relationship between the factors of farming experience and the age of farmers with farmer participation in implementing oil palm rejuvenation activities in Muaro Jambi Regency. While the factors that are not related are land area, income, motivation, education, and capital assistance.
