Education in junior high schools must be oriented towards the future. Disruption in the world of education provides its own challenges for secondary education in preparing student competencies that are increasingly developing and complex. This study aims to explore the influence of Sundanese cultural education on the development of students' understanding and engagement in junior high schools. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research sample consisted of 50 high school students who took part in the Sundanese cultural education program. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The results of the study show that Sundanese cultural education has a positive influence on students' understanding and involvement in junior high schools. The discussion of this study discusses the findings that emerged from the data analysis and their relevance to Sundanese cultural education. The conclusion of this study shows the importance of Sundanese cultural education in developing students' understanding and involvement in junior high schools. This study makes an important contribution to the development of curriculum and methods of teaching culture in schools. The bibliography lists the sources used in this research.
