The education system places great importance on the curriculum, which is a well-structured plan designed to achieve desired outcomes. It is crucial for the curriculum to be flexible and adaptable to cater to the varying needs of students during the teaching and learning process. In Indonesia, the Merdeka Curriculum serves as the foundation for educating students, but it has undergone multiple modifications to ensure that students acquire the necessary knowledge in today's digital age. This article compares the Merdeka Curriculum used in high schools (SMA) with the 2013 Curriculum, focusing on various aspects such as curriculum structure, the basic framework, targeted competencies, learning and assessment methods, as well as teaching and curriculum tools. The research employed a descriptive method, which involved qualitative research techniques to analyze written or printed information in the mass media. Through content analysis, the study revealed similarities and differences between the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum, as highlighted in the research result.
