ANALISIS NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER NOVEL “ORANG-ORANG BIASA” KARYA ANDREA HIRATA DAN PEMANFAATANNYA SEBAGAI BAHAN PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA DI SMA

Abstract

The background to the problem in this research is that there are many cases of students who show weak education in shaping students' character. For example, cases of drug abuse, student brawls, immoral behavior. This is very closely related to the world of students, especially high school students. This research aims to describe: (1) the value of character education (2) its use as learning material for Indonesian language and literature in high school. The method in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The object of research is the novel ordinary people by Andrea Hirata. This research technique is a library technique, reading and taking notes. The research instrument is that the researcher records data on the novel Ordinary People by Andrea Hirata and books for writing reference. The author's data analysis technique chose a content analysis technique. The technique for presenting the results of data analysis uses informal techniques. The results of this research can be concluded that (1) the values ​​of character education include (a) religious (b) honest, (c) tolerance, (d) discipline (e) hard work, (f) creative, (g) independent (h) curiosity (i) love of the homeland (j) respect for achievements (k) love of peace (l) love of reading (m) social care (n) responsibility (2) and its use as teaching material for Indonesian language and literature in high school. Learning is carried out using the 2013 curriculum reference, KD 3.20 analyzing messages from two fiction books read.
