A literary work is essentially a communication medium for the author to convey his opinions, views and assessment of something to the reader. Literary works reflecting the society of a certain era can also be considered as social and cultural documents, although the elements of imagination cannot be simply removed, because it is impossible for an author to imagine if there is no reality to base it on. The problem that arises from the background is regarding the conflict in the main character because the conflict and the main character have a close and reciprocal relationship. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of conflict between the main characters in the novel Ananta Prahadi by Risa Saraswati and to describe the factors that influence the conflict between the main characters in the novel Ananta Prahadi by Risa Saraswati.
