THE EFFECT OF RETURN ON EQUITY (ROE) AND PRICE TO BOOK VALUE (PBV) ON STOCK PRICE PT.SIANTAR TOP TBK PERIOD 2012-2021

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Return on Equity (ROE) and Price To Book Value (PBV) on PT. SIANTAR TOP Period 2012-2021.The independent variables in this study are Return On Equity (REO) and Price To Book Value (PBV), while the dependent variable is Stock Price. This research method is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis tools. The data used is secondary data. The population in this study is the financial statements of PT. SIANTAR TOP Tbk, Period 2012-2021. The sample used is the results of the Financial Statements in the form of a Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Report of PT. SIAMTAR TOP Tbk, Period 2012-2021. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis, the results of Return On Equity (ROE) on Stock Prices are obtained, with the Tcount value of Return On Equity greater than the Ttable value or (3.274 > Ttable 2.36462) with a significant value of 0.014 which means that this value is not significant (0.014 <0.05). So it can be concluded that partially Return On Equity (ROE) has a significant effect on stock prices. This means that Ho1 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted. the results of hypothesis testing obtained the results of Price To Book Value (PBV) on Stock Prices, the Tcount value of Price To Book Value (PBV) is less than the Ttable value or (1.044 <Ttable 2.36462) with a Significant value of 0.331 which means that this value is more than Significant level (0.414 > 0.05 ). So it can be concluded that partially Prive To Book Value (PBV) has no significant effect on stock prices. This means that Ho2 is accepted and Ha2 is rejected. the results of the Anova test obtained an Fcount of 5.615 and a Ftable value of 4.74. Stock price.
