The business of catching mud crabs by fishermen in Kuala Jambi District has been going on for more than fifty years. Thus it is necessary to know the description of mud crab fishing business. The purpose of this study was to describe the mangrove crab fishing business, to analyze the cost, profit, level of financial feasibility and business sustainability. The method used in this research is descriptive survey method. The sampling method used is the census method. Methods of data collection in the form of observation, interviews, literature, and documentation. In this study the population numbered 68 fishermen, so all were taken as respondents. The results of the financial analysis note that the investment required in the mud crab fishing business averages Rp. 4.586.676,- average income Rp. 5.283.066,- per month with an average total cost of Rp. 1.122.292,-per month . Thus the average profit earned in one month is IDR 5.335.676,- The feasibility analysis found that the average NPV value was Rp. 5.335.676,- the value of the B/C Ratio was 1,27; IRR value of 37% and PP 1,65 years. This analysis has a positive NPV, B/C Ratio > 1 and IRR > discount rate. This shows that the mangrove crab fishing business has a good opportunity and is feasible to develop. The results of the Rapfish analysis obtained a sustainability index for the ecological dimension of 52,22 (quite sustainable), for economic dimension 56,42 (quite sustainable), the social dimension 38,28% (less suntainable), the technological dimension 68,5% (quite sustainable)and the intitusional density 22,22% (lesssustainable). The results of the sustainability study using the Rapfish/MDS analysis method show that the multidimensional ordination of the ecological, economic, social, technological and ethical dimensions has a value of 57.32 or is categorized as quite sustainable.
