The priority for development in Indonesia is placed on development in the economic sector with an emphasis on the agricultural sector. Agricultural development is directed at increasing agricultural production to meet food needs and the needs of the domestic industry, increasing exports, increasing farmer incomes, expanding employment opportunities and encouraging equal distribution of business opportunities in Jambi Province, especially rice which is one of the agricultural crops which has economic significance, apart from being a source of foreign exchange is also a source of income for farmers. Bungo Regency has 17 sub-districts, the sub-district which has the largest paddy field area in Bungo Regency is Tanah Sepenggal Sub-District with an area of 32.50% of the paddy field area of Bungo Regency. Tanah Sepenggal District has a total of 1,156 farmers whose livelihood is farmers. The income of lowland rice farming in Tanah Sepenggal sub-district is influenced by socio-economic factors in the form of age, fertilizer costs, farming experience, land area, and number of family members. The purpose of this study was to find out the general description of lowland rice farming, calculate farmer income and analyze the socio-economic factors that affect the income of lowland rice farming. In this study, the hypotheses set were suspected to be socio-economic factors, namely farmer age (X1), fertilizer costs (X2), farming experience (X3), land area (X4), and number of family members (X5) significantly/significantly affected rice farming income. rice fields in Tanah Sepenggal District, Muara Bungo Regency. The results of the study show that the income of lowland rice farming is low with a range of IDR 4,357,480 – IDR 23,929,553 per year. The results of the F test together X1, X2, X3.X4 and X5 correlate very strongly with Y, while the T test by looking at the P-value that the socio-economic factors that have a positive effect on the income of paddy rice farming are fertilizer costs (X2) sig/significant, length of farming (X3) is not sig/significant, and land area (X4) is sig/significant while the negative effect is farmer's age (X1) is not sig/not significant, and the number of family members (X5) is not sig/not significant.
