Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of communication and work motivation on employee performance partially and simultaneously at PT Matahari Department store at supermall karawaci branch The research method used is using quantitative methods with data collection methods through questionnaires. The population of this study was 180 employees, with 64 samples with the slovin formula with a 10% error rate. The sampling technique uses random sampling. Data processing includes instrument tests, classical assumption tests, quantitative tests, and hypothesis tests. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Communication has a significant effect on Employee Performance regression equation value Y = 13.128 + 0.666X1, correlation coefficient (r) = 0.569 Determination value 0.324 or 32.4% s Hypothesis test obtained thitng value > table 5.452 > 1.670 and Work Motivation has a significant effect on Employee Performance with regression equation Y = 13.177 + 0.692X2, correlation coefficient (r) = 0.759 Determination value 0.575 or 57.5%. Test the tcalculate hypothesis > ttable which is 9.168 > 1.670 and Work Communication and Work Motivation have a significant effect on Employee Performance with the regression equation Y = 5.389 + 0.316X1 + 0.575X2. correlation coefficient(r)= 0.795 The value of the coefficient of determination is 0.632 or 63.2%. Test the hypothesis of Fcalculate > Ftable, which is 52.392 > 3.15 a. and it can be concluded that communication and work motivation affect employee performance at PT. Matahari Department Store at Supermall Karawaci Branch.
