Accumulation of household waste in landfills and surrounding areas due to a lack of public environmental awareness regarding proper waste processing can have negative impacts on the environment and health. This research aims to increase environmental awareness of the people of Mendalanwangi Village, Malang Regency through the younger generation by training in managing organic and inorganic waste into products that have re-functional value. We carried out observations, interviews and gave environmental awareness questionnaires before and after training to Maheswari dance studio participants as the young generation in Mendalanwangi Village. Participants' environmental awareness was measured using knowledge, attitudes and lifestyle indicators. Based on the results of the environmental awareness questionnaire after the training, it was found that the participants' knowledge, attitudes and lifestyle were 90.90%, 90.93% and 86.83%. From the results of the questionnaire before and after the waste management training, an increase of 37.3% was obtained. Thus, it can be concluded that through training in organic and inorganic waste processing for the younger generation, environmental awareness can be increased and participants' environmental awareness can be classified as very good.
