Social capital is a social resource in society that can be invested into new resources. Where social capital can produce social benefits and solve problems. The aim of this research is to identify the role of social capital in the "farm friends" group through the BSF maggot cultivation program in Bukit Besar Village, Grimaya District. This research uses the theory of social capital by Robert Putnam which states that social capital is part of social organization such as trust, norms and networks which can increase the efficiency of society by facilitating coordinated actions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach whose primary data source is structured interviews with informants. The number of informants in this research was 10 people consisting of the Bukit Besar Subdistrict Government, BSF maggot cultivation group "Sahabat Farm", Pangkalpinang City DLH, Research Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP). The main finding of this research is explaining the role of social capital in the BSF maggot cultivation group "Sahabat Farm" which can be beneficial in the environmental and economic sectors of the community. Where social capital is found, including trust in the group given by the sub-district, the existence of written norms and verbal norms, there is also a social network that exists between the group and the Bukit Besar Sub-district government, related institutions such as the Pangkalpinang City DLH and the Research Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP). who has a role in supporting the development of the BSF maggot cultivation program with various forms of support.
